Notable Transactions:
- Alfaro, Ferrer & Ramírez received instructions from Archer Daniels Midland to create a co-existence agreement between the client and Disagro de Guatemala.
- Legal counsel to Varela Hermanos, a company which has produced, marketed and sold the rum brand Ron Abuelo for over 100 years, in an international arbitration process to recover the Ron Abuelo web site which an unauthorized third party had been using.
- Representation of Varela Hermanos in the process of recognition, by the Panamanian Courts of protection for the Indication of Origin, of “SECO”, an alcoholic beverage originated in Panama.
