Governance and Education: AFRA’s Mentorship in the AmCham School Directors Leadership Program
As part of the strategic execution of its AFRA ESG initiativeprogram, the firm actively participated as a mentor in the 2025 edition of the San Miguelito School Directors Leadership Program.This initiative, driven by the American Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Panama (AmCham), aims to transfer management and leadership capabilities from the private sector to the public education sector, strengthening school governance in high-priority areas.
Transfer of Management Capabilities
The technical intervention was led by partner Luis H. Moreno IV and associate Santiago Mesawho provided strategic guidance to the directors of Colegio I.P.T. Louis MartinzThe joint effort materialized in the development of the project “Let's Build a World with Values” ("Construyamos un Mundo con Valores").Beyond theoretical implementation, this project sought to structure methodologies to foster critical soft skills—respect, solidarity, responsibility, and empathy—through collaborative activities. The role of AFRA's mentors was to facilitate the efficient planning and execution of these initiatives, ensuring their viability and sustainability within the school environment.

Systemic Impact on Public Education
The AmCham program represents a successful model with measurable results. To date, the initiative has impacted the administrative and academic management of 51 educational centers, directly benefiting 80 directors and vice-directors.The multiplier effect of this training in school governance reaches more than 43,200 students in the district of San Miguelito, indirectly improving the learning environment and the quality of education in the region.

For AFRA, participation in educational mentorship programs responds to two pillars of its sustainability strategy:
