Katherine E. Aparicio G. is co-head of the Litigation and Arbitration Department. Katherine’s focus is on civil, commercial, corporate and financial litigation as well as arbitration and insurance. She actively represents clients in arbitration proceedings conducted before the Conciliation and Arbitration Centre of Panama. Her expertise includes advising clients on how to avoid litigation or to devise strategies to achieve the best outcome where litigation is necessary. Katherine also advises on contracts, including breaches and terminations.
She gained her Law and Political Sciences degree and her Master of Laws both from the Universidad Nacional de Panamá. She then achieved a Postgraduate Law Course qualification from the Universidad de Salamanca and a Postgraduate Degree on Panama’s New Criminal Code from the Universidad Latina de Panamá.
Katherine is a member of the Panama Bar Association and the World League of Environmental Lawyers. She is also a registered arbitrator for the Conciliation and Arbitration Centre of Panama as well as the Resolution Conflict Centre in Panamanian Chamber of Construction (CAPAC). Her membership also includes the Panamanian Association of Business Executives (APEDE). Katherine is a co-founder of the environmentally-oriented NGO Caminando Panamá where she is the Secretary.
