Alejandro Alemán Ferrari is a partner at our Corporate/M&A Department, and co-leads our Tax practice. Alejandro’s expertise also includes real estate, project finance and commercial and corporate law.
Clients advised by Alejandro range from different sectors, including companies in oil, gas and energy, tourism, hospitality, health and industry, manufacturing and retail, real estate developers, investment funds, multinational companies and finance companies. Alejandro provides clients with advise on commercial matters, corporate governance, shareholders’ agreements, joint ventures, acquisitions, and transactional work. Alejandro also devotes a significant amount of his time to advise clients on various tax issues, including tax due diligence, compliance, incentives and special regimes.
Alejandro gained his Law and Political Sciences degree (with honours) from the Universidad Católica Santa Maria la Antigua and a Master of Laws in Corporate Law from New York University School of Law. On 2004, Alejandro attended a semester-long seminar at Columbia University Law School dedicated to discussing and analysing international business transactions in Latin America.
Before joining us in 2005, Alejandro was a legal assistant at a top-tier Panama law firm.
