Ramón is an Associate in the Energy, Telecommunications, and Public Procurement Department of our firm.
His focus centers on obtaining licenses and concessions to operate in the Republic of Panama. Additionally, he provides assistance to clients in contractor selection processes in public tenders and is involved in the legal structuring of complex financing for both public and private projects. Ramón collaborates with lenders and borrowers, and he also contributes to the structuring of guarantee packages.
One of his notable activities is his active membership in the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) in Panama, where he has held the position as Vice President of the Legislation and Taxes Committee on two occasions. During his tenure,, Ramón has participated in various working groups addressing current legal issues.
- Provided counsel to a contractor involved in the extension of Line 1 of the Panama Metro during the negotiation of an Addendum to the Works Contract.
- Advised a prestigious local bank on various financing matters related to energy generation and public infrastructure projects.
