Monique is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Department, the Health Sciences/Regulatory Department, and the Personal Data Protection Department of the firm.

She is dedicated to assisting clients in the field of intellectual property and in matters related to regulation and compliance in the health sciences sector, as well as in privacy and data protection issues.

She possesses extensive experience in advising on intellectual property law, including the analysis of specific regulations and compliance related to intellectual property and health sciences.

Furthermore, Monique offers ongoing support in projects related to intellectual property and in the structuring of agreements between stakeholders and IP litigation before the Courts of Justice. She works with both applicant entities and rights holders, and assists in the development of strategies for the protection, defense, and effective management of intangible assets.

Monique represents both local and foreign companies and individuals in matters related to the prosecution of intellectual property rights before the Ministry of Commerce and Industries of Panama, as well as the protection and enforcement of such rights before the IP courts.

Her work in the life sciences sector involves advising companies on advertising and labelling compliance for pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, agrochemicals, medical devices, biomedical equipment and food and beverages. She also has extensive experience in securing the necessary marketing authorization for these products as well as the required Operation Licenses and special sanitary permits for manufacturers, distributors, and agencies.
