
Katherine is a Partner in the Litigation and Arbitration Department of the firm.
She specializes in advising clients in arbitrations before the Conciliation and Arbitration Center of Panama. Katherine also assists clients with their daily business needs and provides support in complex transactions, including financing and the buying or selling of key players in the market.
She frequently serves local banks, construction companies, major real estate developers, insurance and reinsurance companies, telecommunications companies, ports, and hydroelectric companies.
Her skills enable her to develop strategies, lead judicial and arbitration processes, represent clients in negotiations, and provide legal opinions in her areas of practice.
Publications
- She collaborated with Dr. Jorge Fábrega Ponce P. on: (i) the drafting of the essay “Judicial Communication Centres” included in the book Instituciones de Derecho Procesal Civil, second enlarged and revised edition (2004); and (ii) the Dictionary of Civil Procedural Law (2004).
- She has developed major litigation strategies to represent clients before the Panamanian Judicial Branch in matters of commercial, civil, insurance and bankruptcy law, as well as providing legal counsel aimed at achieving negotiations and out-of-court settlements.
- She has successfully participated in mediation proceedings.
- She has been appointed Arbitrator in national arbitrations.
- She has served as arbitral secretary in national arbitration proceedings.

- Bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science from the Universidad de Panamá (2000).
- Master's degree in Law with a specialization in Private Law from the Universidad de Panama (2007).
- Specialization in Civil Law from the Universidad de Salamanca (2008).
