As part of its pro bono efforts, on May 25, 2019 the Labor Department of AFRA offered to the nuns in charge of management at the Bolivar Nursing Home an informative session on labor matters. The occasion was good for the nuns to hear, first hand, on labor regulations that are relevant to their management tasks at the nursing home. As a token of their appreciation, the nuns arranged for a dedicated mass service to be offered at the home’s intimate chapel to the labor attorneys from AFRA that shared with them over the course of the morning. Our labor partner, Juan Gabriel González, and our associate Patricia Salvador, proudly and generously led this event. Founded in 1883, the Bolivar Nursing Home hosts more than 300 senior adults, and AFRA has been supporting them for several years, offering companionship to their guests on key festive occasions, and also serving as legal advisors to their administrative staff.
