Partner Roberto Harrington A. and associate Alfredo Ramírez Pabón advised the Inter-American Infrastructure Finance Corporation (CIFI), the primary non-bank financial institution in Latin America and the Caribbean specializing in small and medium infrastructure and energy financing, as lender, in connection with a Credit Facility Agreement with a multinational private passenger and cargo airline and its subsidiaries, for the purpose of refinancing the Borrower’s existing debt and the execution of the Borrower´s investment plan. The facility consisted of: (i) a tranche that involved an initial term commitment from CIFI; and (ii) a syndicated tranche involving one or more delayed term commitments from other financial institutions that may become lenders pursuant to a joinder agreement. The transaction involved carrying out due diligence of borrower and co-borrowers, negotiation of contracts, regulatory matters and assistance with closing.
